// Coca-Cola “Eight-Pack”, six limited edition cans for the USA Olympics Team
After its launch of limited edition bottle designs for London Olympics 2012, Coca-Cola has unveiled six limited-edition cans to cheer on Team USA. Called the Coca-Cola ‘Eight-Pack’, the cans designed by design studio Tucker Duckworth feature graphical silhouettes of some of Team USA’s Olympic champions, medalists and hopefuls in action within their sports.
The Eight-Pack team for the London Olympics and Paralympics 2012 is made up of David Boudia (men’s diving), Henry Cejudo (men’s wrestling), Marlen Esparza (women’s boxing), John Isner (men’s tennis), Shawn Johnson (women’s gymnastics), Jessica Long (Paralympics women’s swimming), Alex Morgan (women’s soccer), and David Oliver (men’s track & field).
“The designs cleverly use patriotic stripes to convey movement and context for the different sports,” Tucker Duckworth told LooksFeelsWorks. “The cans will rotate throughout the summer with a new one hitting the market every two weeks, culminating with a can featuring a special composite logo in time for the opening of the Olympic Games.”
“There are six different Fridgepack versions launching in 2 phases. Designs are also extended across larger can packs, bottle labels, and mini cans. The designs will also appear on in-store displays, premiums and select TV spots.”
